If you have a second, please check out KVUE News in Austin’s story about my book, The Longhorn Alphabet. The talented Cory Mose even made yours truly sound and look ok on camera. But, my kids, nephews and niece + Derrick Johnson talking about the book were the stars of the show.
The Longhorn Alphabet was released on Amazon today 4/8! If you have purchased already, please head to Amazon to leave a review. Five Stars Only.
If you would give it five stars on GoodReads as well, I’d appreciate it…and it can count towards your books read goal for 2025.
Also - I’ve been asked how people can help me spread the word about the book. Besides word of mouth and showing it to people, the best thing you can do is an individual post with pictures of you and your family enjoying the book. Stories on Instagram are cool, but most people skim through them, at least I do. If you’d post and tag me, that would be swell. I don’t care where folks buy it and if you send them to longhornalphabet.com they should see all their options available.

But back to writing, I was able to pen a long feature story about Longhorn Linebacker David Gbenda as he preps for the NFL. I don’t know if I’ve been this proud of something I’ve written for a long time. David comes from an incredible family and is a better person than he is a player, and that’s saying a lot. Check it out over on Inside Texas.
Be Undeniable: David Gbenda's journey to the NFL through four plays as a Texas Longhorn
Lastly, we’re doing a family friendly book release party in Austin this Sunday 4/13. Come see us at Cisco’s Muny Cafe at Lion’s Municipal Golf Corse. We’ll have some appetizers to snack on. It will be come and go from 11-2. So, come hang out and get some migas and a bloody Mary, watch a little Masters and get a signed book or three while the kids play.
