I had the honor of hosting one of the best Texas pass rushers of the 21st century in Jackson Jeffcoat. Jackson and his teammates gave Longhorn fans a lifetime worth of memories in 2013 when they obliterated the Sooners 36-20 in an upset game. That propelled Texas forward that season where they were able to play for a Big 12 Championship in Mack Brown’s final season.
Show notes summary:
RT Young and Jackson Jeffcoat focus on Jeffcoat's recruitment journey back in 2010, his experiences in the Red River Rivalry against OU, the amazing 2013 victory, picking off Tony Romo in the NFL and his transition from college football to the CFL. They discuss the emotional highs and lows of rivalry games, the importance of preparation, and the legacy of Longhorn football. Jeffcoat shares personal anecdotes about his family, his time in Canada where he won two championships with Winnipeg.
