In the second episode of the Dance With Who Brung Ya podcast, I talk with national champion and lifetime Longhorn Drew Kelson. We discuss winning in Columbus in 2005, Joel Klatt, the similarities between his national championship group and the team now & finally his transition from a player to a fan. Check it out and share it with your friends. You can listen here or on Spotify, Apple Podcasts, Overcast, etc.
Drew also confesses his love for Outback Steakhouse and I think he’s owed an NIL deal all these years later for all the bloomin’ onions he and his friends on the D-Line took down. We at DWWBYa would also welcome a sponsorship from Outback.
Follow Drew on Twitter and look out for more of his videos on the Inside Texas Football YouTube Channel, IT is my go-to place for all Texas team and recruiting news.
Error - in the podcast I accidentally called Drew’s hit of Joel Klatt a sack, it wasn’t, and my man Drew actually got a flag on the play (there was no targeting at the time, but my bad Drew). In my mind the hit was so emblematic of the beatdown that it’s the play I associate the most with that day. Joel Klatt also references it often. I’ve linked Drew’s game sealing forced fumble against the Buckeyes and the Colorado B12 Championship below.
Intro and Outro music is Brody Price: Dying When I Met You
